Kennel Attendant

Part-Time & Full-Time Positions
Two or more years of experience in a veterinary, shelter, doggy daycare or training facility are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Must be available weekends and rotating holidays

Based in Detroit, MI
Our kennel attendants are the heart of our shelter operations. You must have a strong passion for dogs and cats and a strong work ethic. The ideal kennel attendant will be able to relocate 40lbs or more, be willing to clean including mopping, laundry, food prep and bathing animals. Kennel attendants must also be able to walk dogs in all weather climates.
Candidates must have:

  • 2 Years experience handling dogs in a professional setting is preferred
  • Ability to relocate 40lbs or more
  • Available weekends and rotating holidays
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willing to clean, including, but not limited to: kennels, laundry, food prep, bathing animals and more
  • Can work in a fast-paced setting
  • Works well in teams
  • Be 18 years or older
