A special note from his foster…

“Looking for your new best friend? Look no further! Ryder is looking for his forever home where he can be the most loyal, goofy and loving buddy that you’ll ever have. This boxer-mix lives for snuggles and will lay in your lap for hours soaking up all the love. Be prepared to be greeted with a big hug and kisses from him every time you come home! When he’s not cuddling, Ryder enjoys chew toys and tennis balls, listening to music, and sitting at the window on paw patrol.

He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and resting up in his foster home, but will do best in an active home (preferably with a fenced-in yard) once he’s better!

While he does have special needs, the love and loyalty that Ryder provides makes it all worth it.

Likes: Bones, snack time, peanut butter, fuzzy blankets”

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of the dogs we can only visually guess the predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only an estimate. This is the case not only at Detroit Dog Rescue, but in shelters across America.
